When one hears the name Michelangelo Antonioni...well, for me anyway...the film featuring music from Pink Floyd entitled "Zabriskie Point" comes to mind.
But before Zabriskie, Antonioni had a little film by the name of "Blow Up" which featured a scene of the Yardbirds performing live.
Both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page can be spotted on stage, and by the end of the scene Beck goes full-on rock and roll and smashes his guitar.
It would be less than 2 years later that Page would have full rights to the Yardbirds name and recruit members John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant, renaming the outfit "The New Yardbirds," and eventually "Led Zeppelin."
Check out the scene in this piece of rock and roll history below.
