System of a Down and Deftones are playing a massive, one-night-only show in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park over the summer, and they're bringing The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys, and VOWWS with them. The California-based bands announced the show on social media on Tuesday (April 9), billing it as "a stand alone, once in a lifetime event."

"Join us for a historic night in San Francisco with special guests The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys, and VOWWS," SOAD wrote on Instagram, adding that fans who sign up for their mailing list will be eligible for pre-sale tickets (Deftones' mailing list members will also be able to access pre-sale tickets.) The general sale launches on Friday (April 12) at 10AM PST.

The show is set to go down on August 17 and will be the first-ever “after dark” ticketed concert at Polo Field in Golden Gate Park. It is notably only SOAD's second announced live performance of the year, following a slot on the Sick New World festival lineup. Deftones are also slated to play a few festivals this year: Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Lollapalooza.

Earlier this year, Christian Nolen made headlines when he played SOAD and Deftones riffs on guitar while undergoing brain surgery. Someone give this guy a free ticket to the show!
